Zeer grote brand (GRIP 1) in loods aan de Merenweg in Bleiswijk

Rond 10 voor 11 vanavond werd de brandweer gealarmeerd voor een gebouwbrand aan de Merenweg in Bleiswijk.

Ter plaatse bleek er door een zeer grote brand uitgebroken te zijn uitgebroken in een loods.

Al snel schaalde de brandweer op naar grote brand (uiteindelijk zelfs GRIP 1 Zeer grote brand) en werden hierop diverse korpsen uit de omgeving van Bleiswijk opgeroepen om assistentie te verlenen bij het bestrijden van de brand. Een brand welke gepaard ging met zeer veel rook en waarbij kans bestond op overslag naar een andere schuur en de woning.

De brandweer wist doormiddel van het nathouden van de naastgelegen schuur/woning te voorkomen dat het vuur oversloeg, echter kon helaas de betreffende enorme loods waar de brand woedde en welke mogelijk vol stond met caravans/personenauto’s/gasflessen, niet meer gered worden. De brand was dusdanig hevig dat een uitbrand-scenario de enigste optie was om het vuur gecontroleerd uit te krijgen. Het zou nog de rest van de nacht duren voor de brand daadwerkelijk uit zou zijn en men langzamerhand weer retour kon gaan naar de kazerne.

Ook al zijn redelijk wat ambulance-voertuigen opgeroepen, toch zijn er zover bekend geen gewonden gevallen bij de brand. Tevens konden diverse paarden op tijd gered worden. Waardoor de brand is ontstaan is vooralsnog onbekend. Omwonenden werden geacht ramen/deuren te sluiten en diverse meetploegen zijn actief geweest om te kijken of er gevaarlijke stoffen zijn vrijgekomen (buiten de standaard stoffen die vrijkomen bij een brand). Tevens waren omliggende wegen afgesloten voor al het verkeer en de massa-toestroom publiek.
