Dodelijk verkeersongeval bij Borger

Op zondagavond 30 mei vond er een ernstig verkeersongeval plaats op de N34 bij Borger waarbij vier personen om het leven kwamen.

Omstreeks 20:50 uur kreeg de politie melding van een ernstig verkeersongeval waarbij vijf voertuigen betrokken raakten. De weg was enige tijd afgesloten voor onderzoek. Bij dit ernstige verkeersomgeval raakten vijf personen gewond en kwamen vier personen om het leven; een 24-jarige man uit Dalen, een 69-jarige vrouw en een 72-jarige man uit Assen en een 48-jarige man uit Gramsbergen. De gewonden zijn met onbekende verwondingen naar het ziekenhuis gebracht.

Het Team Verkeer van de politie doet onderzoek naar het verkeersongeval. Het onderzoeksteam doet een oproep aan iedereen die zondagavond iets heeft gezien of gehoord met betrekking tot dit verkeersongeval, u kunt daarbij onder andere denken aan dashcambeelden. Ook als u andere informatie heeft, die van belang kan zijn voor het onderzoek, en u heeft nog niet met de politie gesproken, dan hoort het team dit graag van u.
