Volgende week zondag is er al 'n grote show in Wiltshire en ik lees nu net dat er 'n maand later weer een dergelijk evenement is :

Emergency Services Show 2006, organised by Emergency Services (MMC) Ltd, the publisher of Emergency Services Times and its sister company magazine, Fire Times, is a unique, multi agency event focused on sharing information between all Category 1 and Category 2 Responders, with the goals of improved co-responding and increased public safety.

The coordinated response to incidents doesn’t just happen by chance. Co-responding is an integral part of the Civil Contingencies Act – from terrorist incidents to floods, fires and road traffic accidents, most civil emergencies call for multi agency collaboration. Within the current climate of modernisation and with regionalisation on the horizon, it is increasingly important that emergency planners and responders attain the highest possible levels of knowledge and a mutual understanding of the protocols, logistics, equipment, skills and roles of people involved in emergency response. Through sharing information, training, hands on experience and thorough debriefs, those planning for and responding to an emergency continue to learn and improve.

At this one event, Police, Fire & Rescue and Ambulance Services, Maritime and Coastguard Agencies, Local Authorities, Health Bodies and Government Agencies come together with Civil Contingencies Groups, NGOs, Transport Operators and Utility Organisations to provide a complete spectrum of emergency services under one roof.
Visitors will also have immediate access to a nation-wide range of dedicated suppliers of specialist equipment and services.

So whether you are looking for the latest communications and IT equipment, station equipment, training and education resources, technical rescue and medical equipment, decontamination units, personal protective equipment or vehicles and vehicle equipment, this is the show for you!

The Conference

Central to the exhibition, a dedicated emergency services conference will provide key personnel with the opportunity to share information on emergency planning and co-responding; and debate and discuss the equipment, service and recruitment requirements of all emergency responders. Don’t miss out on the potential for introducing new ideas to a wide audience of potential buyers.

Voor vervoer vanaf 't vliegveld kan altijd gezorgd worden, vraag maar aan Marc en Nils, die hebben 't vorige maand ook overleefd  ;D
