Nice to read you had a good time in the Netherlands.
Always nice to talk with people about one of my passions an help them out.

The car with the high volume pumpt is not a reserve but has been moved to our station. First it was on duty in Amersfoort.
You guys were the first one to get in on a photo with this callsign 516 (the Maarssen number for this vehicle)

Nice to read that the trip to leidsche rijn and voordorp has payed out as well.

From Voordorp, even though it was getting late, we decided to travel to Zeist. This is a new fire station (nieu post) and the guys are very proud of their new home.

The star at Zeist was definitely this huge Scania P360 Prime Mover, according to the guys they use it because of the large forests in the area. What a truck!!!

Yes, indeed  it is in use for forest fires. The Unimog is an extremely strong car for the rough terrains near Zeist. It can also be used for claining the road. There are bumper nozzles with ethynol on the truck. Sadly I haven't see you.....for more information you can always send  me a PM !

For your information: there are 4 of the same  Scania trucks in the "Utrechtse Heuvelrug". The special containers are mainly for the watertransport during a forest fire. There are two of this 12000 liter-containers, two with 6000 liters and a pump to get water from great depths and two empty containers which can be used as a water buffer in the bush areas(capacity of 24000 liters)!
