Asbest vrij bij grote brand Wervershoof
Bij een grote brand in Wervershoof is donderdagochtend asbest vrijgekomen.
Dat heeft veiligheidsregio Noord-Holland-Noord laten weten. Er staat een schuur in brand achter een woning aan de Nes in de Noord-Hollandse gemeente.

Het is nog onduidelijk wat voor gevolgen het vrijgekomen asbest voor de omgeving heeft.
De rook trekt volgens een woordvoerster van de veiligheidsregio over het IJsselmeer, waar de brandende schuur niet ver vanaf staat.

De brand werd rond 4.00 uur ontdekt. Er waren geen mensen in het pand.

Onderdijk – Rond kwart over 3 vannacht werden de omwonenden van de Bed & Breakfast in Onderdijk opgeschrikt door een luide knal. Geschrokken buren van de Bed & Breakfast gingen op onderzoek uit waar die knal vandaan kwam en zagen al direct rook uit het pand komen.

Ps. in het pand zelf was geen gas aanwezig enkel electriciteit. Er waren ook geen gasten.

De brandweer heeft het sein brandmeester gegeven en is nu begonnen met het nabluswerk. Ook wordt er nu onderzoek ingesteld waar er asbestdelen zijn neergekomen. Zoals het er nu laat uitzien is het overgrote deel het IJsselmeer opgewaaid.
