Grote brand verwoest bedrijfspand Makkum

MAKKUM- Een grote brand heeft op oudejaarsavond een bedrijfspand volledig verwoest aan de Strânwei in Makkum. Net na 20:00 kwam de eerste brandmelding binnen bij de alarmcentrale en al snel werd de brand opgeschaald omdat deze uitslaand was. In het pand was onder andere een auto- en caravanstalling gevestigd. De brandweerkorpsen van Makkum, Witmarsum, Bolsward en Parrega waren snel ter plaatse om het vuur te bestrijden, maar zij konden niet voorkomen dat het pand volledig verloren ging. Naar de oorzaak van de brand werd onderzoek gedaan. De nabluswerkzaamheden namen enige tijd in beslag.
