Weather forecast Chapala over some governorates in the Republic of Yemen:

Socotra Island: Potential  effect of southeasterly fresh wind may reach to 50 km/h with heavy rain shower ranging from 50 - 70 mm.

l-Mahra: Chance for heavy rain may reach 70 mm with blowing easterly fresh wind up to 40 km/hr. Sea state is expected to be rough with height 3 - 5 m.

Hadhramaut: Chances for heavy rain amounting 200 mm with easterly fresh wind speed of 40 km/hr. Sea state is rough/very rough (10 m).

Shabwa: Might be affected by NE fresh wind up to 80 km/hr changing to SE fresh wind up to 40 km/hr by tomorrow morning.

Heavy rainfall  (200 mm) is forecasted over Shabwa governorate with rough/ very rough sea condition. The highest wave may approach 10 m.

Rough sea state will continue on the island of Socotra with a maximum height of 5 m.

Het Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah (Oman) in opperste staat van paraatheid, ondanks dat Chapala in kracht afneemt en verder westwaarts Yemen in trok.

“Hospitals in Auqad, Saada, Garbiya, New salalah and Dahariz are working round the clock on an emergency situation, while Sultan Qaboos Hospital is equipped with handling additional 1000 patients at a time,” said the source. Till now there is no emergency call from anywhere but the health officials are ready 24/7 to receive calls and attend patients.
