A fire ripped through an uninhabited hotel in the Saudi holy city of Makkah on Sunday without causing casualties, the civil defence spokesman said.Firefighters put out the blaze at the 10-floor hotel, the spokesman said in statements carried by the official Saudi Press Agency.

Five of the officers were transported to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Three of those have died. Two of the officers remain at the hospital - one is reportedly in fair condition and the other is in critical condition.
