12:05am- Salahuddin Ahmed, officer-in-charge Banani police station, has been killed, Assistant Commissioner of Ramna Division Shibly Noman confirmed Dhaka Tribune.
1:02am- Sirajul Islam, officer-in-charge of Gulshan police station, in critical condition at the city's United Hospital. So far, more than 24 police members have susteained injuries.

NEW DELHI:  All Indian High Commission officials are reported to be safe and the Indian High Commission is monitoring the situation, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Friday night amid reports of a hostage situation in Dhaka where gunmen have taken 20 people hostage.
