Anvar Munavvarov, OCHA 2:18 hrs ago Latest update from the UN RC's Office in Tehran:
The Government of Iran (GoI) and the Iranian Red Crescent Society have the situation well in hand. Initial response activities have reportedly been adequate.
The GoI has indicated that the search and rescue phase is over (the death toll currently stands at 300). They will be focusing on providing relief assistance to affected populations and initiating early recovery.
Information from the GoI and the IRCS and from the Ministry of Health indicates that there is no requirement for international response at this stage.
