Hello,

The UK government tried to introduce a national livery like what you have in Holland, but a lot of the fire services would not accept it. Quite a lot of trucks are battenburg but this is by their own choice, as each fire service can decide their own livery.

Andy

Thanks for the answer. We shall see what's gonna happen there.

About the Dennis firetrucks. Here in the region (Friesland) there are still Dennis' in use:

- Workum
- Drachten (got 2)
- Zwaagwesteinde
- Damwoude

In Balk en Bolsward they surved out by the end of last year. On the photo the fire truck of Bolsward at scene in 2011.

Until a couple of years ago the fire-brigade of Halderberge location Oudenbosch had one; sadly it went total-loss at an accident involving a truck-trailer loaded with steel beams; fire-truck tipped on it's side...

In the region Zaanstreek-Waterland & Amsterdam-Amstelland and Noord Holland Noord are four Dennis firetrucks.
- Fire station Monnickendam
- Fire station Landsmeer
- Fire station Graft de Rijp

Er rijd ook nog een voertuig voor de bedrijfsbrandweer in regio AA. Kan iemand dit vertalen, of achterhalen welk voertuig?

''Funny'', in Amstelveen (region of Amsterdam) they've had the same technical problems with a Mercedes Econic / Hilton combination.
This one started service in 2002, was rarely in service , wend out of service in 2007....
Amsterdam Fire Department sold the truck in 2011.

Hilton..... tja!  98uiye

Norg had one, even one with Red strobes on the rear.
I don't know if they use this Fire Engine nowadays.

This is a truly unique fire vehicle in the UK, it was designed by the Chief Officer of Buckinghamshire and is the largest municipal fire vehicle in the United Kingdom. The ladders were taken from a previous vehicle and re-mounted onto this.
